In the second half of the 19th century, when the city of Mendoza was starting to be rebuilt after an intense and devastating earthquake, the local government asked French engineer Ballofet to design the heart of the town as a safe and secure place for its inhabitants.
Mendoza City grew around his creation, a central and large square surrounded on each corner by a smaller one, between three blocks of distance from each other, where local people could not only look for shelter but also find the beauty of nature, arts, enjoy shows and spend good times in town.
Beginning at a meeting point in downtown, walking the circuit to finish in the main square.
